Welcome to my
crazy part of the world,
thanks for stopping by.
This
site
is devoted to sharing my published and unpublished creative projects
for those looking for a bit of humor to brighten their day. I have
dabbled in both fiction and non-fiction and my dream for 2009 is to
try my hand at writing my first novel. I am continuing to broaden my
horizons through participation in writing classes and workshops.
My first love continues to be humor and inspirational writing, which
has lead to my various publishing credits.
Last
April I returned from three incredible
days at the bi-annual Erma Bombeck Writer’s Workshop at the
University of Dayton. The venue was Erma’s alma mater, and the
event was held from April, 2008 in Dayton, Ohio. For me,
attending this conference was an opportunity of a lifetime. Having
grown up in a family where my mother always read Erma Bombeck’s
columns, I grew up feeling as if I knew her. It also
enabled me to personally meet one of my writing friends, who I had
previously met through one of my online writing classes. The
highlight of the conference was meeting Garrison Keillor, especially
since we are fellow Minnesotans. I am looking forward to the Erma
Bombeck Writer's Workshop in 2010.
